AMU & APU Students for Life 2022 Chapter Highlights:

Students for Life appointed its initial leadership team and later in 2022 held its first chapter election in September 2022, installing Stephanie Diaz as President, Anthony Pratt as Vice President, Anne Midgley as Secretary and Webmaster, and Daniel Vliet as Treasurer.

Students for Life actively connects with members through its Facebook site, Twitter, APUS eCampus’s Directory, and its website.

Students for Life has published several articles through its website and quarterly newsletter, including:

Celebrating Black History Month 2022,” by Anne Midgley

Students for Life has published four quarterly newsletters, beginning with its first issue, published in January 2022

Its most recent issue, Fall 2022, featured articles by Anne Midgley and Robert Busek, together with biographies of its first elected officer team, and an overview of Wreaths Across America.

Students for Life collaborated with the AMU & APU Newman Center to host its first Virtual Baby Shower, featuring a number of pro-life pregnancy resource centers.

Students for Life advertised APUS Career Services to its members on its Facebook site.

Students for Life members are active in their local communities. Although still a small chapter with approximately thirty student and alumni members, seven members reported individual service for chapter standards credit.

The chapter has recognized the outstanding academic achievements of its members and honored its graduating members on multiple occasions.

Students for Life participated in “Thanking Those Who Serve” in conjunction with Military Appreciation Month and launched its first National Day of Service on September 9.

The chapter hosted a February 2022 blood drive.

Students for Life offers an important way for APUS pro-life students, alumni, faculty, and staff to connect and share support, information, and initiatives. One of our members recently posted: “I finally looked at the AMU and APU [Students for Life] website and realized a lot of our officers and advisors are history majors. As a history major myself, I often find myself alone when it comes to being pro-life as many of my history friends lean pro-choice on the issue, so thank you for proving to me that I am not alone.”
